Table 3 presents the formats and modes that two hundred ninety-four NIDRR grantees reported they prefer for receiving materials and products from the NCDDR (by number and percent, in nineteen ninety-nine).
Format.
Regular Print. Two hundred seventy-eight grantees, or ninety-four and six-tenths percent, preferred to receive materials and products in Regular Print.
Large Print. Three grantees, or one percent, preferred to receive materials and products in Large Print.
Braille. No grantees preferred to receive materials and products in Braille.
Audio Tape. No grantees preferred to receive materials and products on Audio Tape.
Macintosh format file or disk, including text only, Microsoft Word, or Word Perfect format. No grantees preferred to receive materials and products on a Macintosh format disk.
PC format file or disk, including text only, Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, or ASCII format. Nine grantees, or three and one-tenth percent, preferred to receive materials and products on a PC format disk. Two grantees, or seven-tenths of one percent, preferred Microsoft Word format. One grantee, or three-tenths of one percent, preferred Word Perfect format. One grantee, or three-tenths of one percent, preferred ASCII format.
Mode of Distribution.
U.S. Mail. Two hundred thirty-one grantees, or seventy-eight and six-tenths percent, preferred to receive materials and products by U.S. Mail.
Fax. Three grantees, or one percent, preferred to receive materials and products by Fax.
E-mail. Sixty-one grantees, or twenty and seven-tenths percent, preferred to receive materials and products by E-mail.
Other. No grantees identified another preferred mode to receive materials and products from the NCDDR.
